| | | Dance and Creative Movement
The dance major curriculum is based on the National and SC Frameworks for Dance in Education and is designed for students with a desire to pursue dance at the post secondary level, as a career, or as a life-enriching experience. The major includes studies in dance technique, improvisation, composition, and cultural heritage. Students experience a variety of dance-related careers such as teaching, performing, choreography, movement therapy, dance education, and production. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in master classes led by performers with professional dance companies visiting the Academy.
