Welcome to the home of the Interactive Meida major at AAST.

The Interactive Media major is a two-year program designed to prepare students for both success in their future educational endeavors and success in their careers in a related field. The curriculum is designed for students with a desire to pursue careers such as Multimedia Specialist, Web Designer, Graphic Artist, Interactive Media Specialist, 3D Animator, and Website Maintenance Specialist, etc. The major focuses on several aspects of Interactive media including digital image editing, digital image design, digital composition, 3-D computer animation, and web page design and development, along with digital portfolio creation, journalistic and creative writing, and other areas of Interactive media as they relate to individual student interests.  The course will also emphasize the use of technological tools in gathering and presenting information and ideas.  Throughout the course, students will participate in service learning projects, shadowing experiences, senior internships, and other experiences related to their Interactive Media interests.
