Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society

Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies. Any accredited public or private high school can apply for a local chapter, through which individuals will be inducted into the Rho Kappa Honor Society. Rho Kappa provides national recognition and opportunities for exploration in social studies. Through its sponsorship of Rho Kappa, NCSS hopes to encourage an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for social studies.
Entrance Requirements:

Have completed two social studies courses and be prepared to complete at least four social studies courses before they graduate (most AP Social Studies classes count as two classes since they are often taught over two semesters);

Have an overall cumulative non-weighted GPA of 3.00 and a cumulative non-weighted 3.5 GPA in all social studies courses taken.

Be prepared to participate in activities that demonstrate civic engagement in their school or community;

Provide the name and email of a social studies teacher that would be willing to recommend you to Rho Kappa
