Principal's Message

Welcome to the Academy for Arts, Science & Technology (AAST). We are a Cognia STEM certified program academy serving high school students from nine attendance areas in Horry County.  We are committed to preparing students to be college and career-ready global citizens. We foster creativity, innovation, systematic problem-solving, and critical thinking through participation in rigorous and authentically collaborative academic and career experiences.

I am honored to serve as the Principal for AAST and am blessed to be a part of the AAST family. I am very proud of all of the academic accomplishments of our students, but I am most pleased to claim, with conviction, that the character and leadership of our students in the area of civic contributions are what is most impressive about the remarkable young adults that I have the pleasure of serving each day.  I invite you to explore the AAST website, and I hope you discover what makes AAST so special. You can also find out about our academic course offerings and explore the majors programs, learn about STEM at AAST, and consider the many clubs and activities that are offered to students on our campus.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work in this challenging, rigorous, innovative, and nurturing academic atmosphere. The AAST family is truly dedicated to giving students experiences that will help them reach their life goals. The faculty and staff of the Academy for the Arts, Science, and Technology would like to thank the students, parents, business partners, and community for their continued support in helping our students realize their possibilities.  I am proud to be a koi, and I am very much looking forward to a wonderful school year.
